Al Jardine thanked him for getting him back in the band after a long hiatus. (More on that story tomorrow.)


Mike Love thanked him for everything he’s done to help make the 50 year reunion possible and told him to drop the aka from now on and just go as BB1….. “because that’s who you are”…..The Beach Boys Number one fan for over 40 years.


Bruce Johnston asked BB1 about the set for the Bowl that day and BB1 said joking around, “Hey Bruce, maybe we should skip Disney Girls, what do you think?” Bruce thought about it, then agreed the song was more for LA… not Santa Barbara and dropped his own song from the list.


Brian Wilson was sitting at the piano and BB1 noticed his left hand vibrating a little so asked if that was the hand he used to write Surfer Girl and In My Room!” Brian looked at him, shook his head, Yes and said, “I like your face.”
